COMMITTEE WITH RESPECT TO THE JAMES MONROE LAW OFFICE
MUSEUM AND MEMORIAL LIBRARY IN FREDERICKSBURG

The President reported that at the direction of the Rector, the Executive Committee was polled by telephone on February 24, 1972. All members except Dr. Edwin L. Kendig, Jr. were reached. The Committee approved a resolution endorsing the action of the Rector who directed that legislation should be included in the bill establishing Mary Washington College as a separate institution to transfer the James Monroe Law Office-Museum and Memorial Library to the Board of Visitors of Mary Washington College.
