• Mr. William W. Abbot as Chairman, Department of History, for two academic years, effective September 1, 1972.
• Mr. Robert Bierstedt as a Member, Center for Advanced Studies, for two years, effective September 1, 1972.
• Mr. Harold M. Carron as Acting Chairman, Department of Anesthesiology, for the period February 1, 1972, through July 31, 1972.
• Mr. Robert D. Cross as Dean, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, for five years, effective July 1, 1972.
• Mr. H. Grant Goodell as Chairman, Department of Environmental Sciences, for the period January 1, 1972, through June 30, 1976.
• Dr. James T. Hamlin, III, as Acting Dean, School of Medicine, for the period March 1, 1972, through June 30, 1972.
