The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following persons be and they are hereby re-elected to the faculty:
  • Mr. Alfred A. Arth as Assistant Professor of Education, for three academic years, effective September 1, 1971.
  • Dr. Lester F. Belter as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology, for one year, effective July 1, 1971, at no salary from the University.
  • Mr. Howard Bryant as Professor of Education, School of General Studies, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1971.
  • Miss Nellie B. Carwile as Assistant Professor of Nursing, for three years, effective April 1, 1971.
  • Mr. Karl-Achim Czemper as Assistant Professor of Architecture, for two academic years, effective September 1, 1971.
  • Miss Cora Diamond as Associate Professor of Philosophy, effective September 1, 1971. Miss Diamond served as a Lecturer in Philosophy during the 1969-70 session.
  • Mr. S. Herbert Frankel as Visiting Professor of Economics, for one semester, effective February 1, 1972.
  • Dr. Leoncio A. Garcia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, for three years, effective July 1, 1971, at no salary from the University.
  • Mr. Thomas J. Gates as Acting Assistant Professor of Education, for one year, effective July 1, 1971.
  • Mr. Leigh E. Grosenick as Assistant Professor of Government and Foreign Affairs, for three academic years, effective September 1, 1971.
  • Mrs. Barbara S. Haas as Assistant Professor of Nursing, for three years, effective July 1, 1971.
  • Mr. Peter Hackett as Assistant Professor of Education, for three academic years, effective September 1, 1971.
