The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following persons be and they are hereby elected to the faculty:
  • Miss Edythe J. Allen as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and of Pediatrics, for one year, effective February 1, 1971, at an annual salary of [OMITTED].
  • Mr. Howard W. Allen as Lecturer in Education, for the period February 1, 1971, through May 31, 1971, at a session salary of [OMITTED], plus 20 percent for summer work, and [OMITTED] for administrative duties, or a total salary of [OMITTED].
  • Captain James A. Ball as Assistant Professor of Air Science, for three years, effective June 1971.
  • Mr. Dennis W. Barnes as Assistant Professor, General Faculty, for the period February 1, 1971, through June 30, 1972, at a session salary of [OMITTED] plus 20 percent for summer work, and [OMITTED] for administrative duties, or a total salary of [OMITTED]
