DEATH OF DR. ALAN S. PEIRCE
- Dr. Alan S. Peirce, Professor of Biology at Mary Washington College, died on 18 January 1967. He had been on the staff of Mary Washington College since 1935.
From the Rector, the President, and the individual Visitors there were expressions of the affection and esteem in which Dr. Peirce was held, and the Secretary was directed to convey to his widow and to record in the permanent minutes of the Board the deep sense of loss felt by the Board and the gratitude of the Visitors, both as a body and as individuals, for Dr. Peirce's distinguished and devoted services to Mary Washington College.
