PROMOTIONS

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following promotions be and they are hereby made:
• Mrs. Josephine D. Arnold, Instructor, to Acting Assistant Professor of French, for one year, effective 1 September 1967, at a session salary of $[OMITTED].
• Mr. Alan P. Batson, Associate Professor of Physics, to Professor of Computer Science, effective 1 July 1967, at a session salary of $[OMITTED], plus 20 percent for summer work, and $[OMITTED] for administrative duties, or a total salary of $[OMITTED].
• Mr. Martin Battestin, Associate Professor, to Professor of English, effective 1 September 1967, at a session salary of $[OMITTED].
• Dr. Frederic A. Berry, Jr., Instructor, to Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, for three years, effective 1 July 1967, at an annual salary of $[OMITTED].
