Summer Course in Physics, 1899.

The new Rouss Physical Laboratory will be open to students
in Physics during the coming summer vacation. The
regular work will begin Monday, July 3d, and end Saturday,
September 2d, but, as the Laboratory is seldom closed, those
who wish to may arrange to begin earlier or to continue later.

Instruction, both theoretical and practical, will be given
according to the needs of each student, and individual experimental
work, for which the Laboratory is admirably adapted,
will be strongly emphasized.

Among those who might profit by such a course are:

a. Students who expect to take Physics or first year Medicine
next session.

b. Teachers of Physics who wish to obtain a working
knowledge of such laboratory arts as glass-blowing, soldering,
electroplating, etc.

c. Candidates for such Civil Service Examinations as demand
a knowledge of general Physics.

d. Those who wish the facilities of a laboratory and the
use of a library for original research.

e. Physicians and medical students who desire a practical
knowledge of the manipulation of batteries, electro-magnets,
induction coils, and X-ray apparatus.

The Laboratory will be open on equal terms to both men
and women.

The tuition fee will be $30.
