Society of the Alumni.

Alumni Hall.—One of the University buildings has been recently
set aside by action of the Board and fitted up for the accommodation of
visiting Alumni. Here they will find comfortable lodging and sitting
rooms as well as some one ready to show them around the University
and introduce them to professors or students. This is merely a temporary
provision for the comfort of the Alumni, until the necessary funds
can be collected for the erection of a permanent Alumni Hall, subscriptions
for which are now being taken. It is hoped that this will
form headquarters for those of the Alumni who from time to time visit
the alma mater. Many have already taken advantage of it.

Alumni Scholarships.—See page 137.

Culberson, Texas, first vice-president; Judge James D. Thornton, California,
