COMMONWEALTH'S ATTORNEYS FOR CAROLINE

The office became elective in 1851. Since that time the
following men have served the county in this capacity. Randolph
Peyton, Eustace Conway Moncure, Algernon Bertrand Chandler,
William E. Ennis, Willing Bowie and Thomas H. Blanton. The
latter was elected in 1923.
