Newspapers. Among the most important are Le Siècle,
La Patrie, La Presse, La France, Les Débats, L'Opinion Nationale,
Le Temps, La Liberté, L'Etendard, which are offered in the streets
for sale at 3 sous; also the smaller papers, Le Petit Moniteur, Le
Petit Journal and La Petite Presse at 1 sou. The occasional persual
of these is also recommended as an admirable exercise for the
student of the language.
