ACTION OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The President reported that the Executive Committee, under the date of 11 January 1960,
had authorized him to execute an agreement with the Victory Coal Company of Norton, Virginia,
to auger the coal and remove it from certain lands at Clinch Valley College in return for the
payment of a royalty of 10 cents per ton. He asked that the action of the Executive Committee
be approved by the Board.
The following resolution was adopted
RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia
that the action of the Executive Committee authorizing the President to execute an agreement
with the Victory Coal Company to conduct certain coal mining operations on land at Clinch Valley
College is hereby approved.
On motion the meeting was then adjourned
