HONOR SYSTEM

The President stated that a recent editorial in The Cavalier Daily might give the members
of the Board the mistaken impression that the Honor System was in jeopardy. On the contrary,
he reported that the Honor Committee and especially its Chairman, Mr. Jake Crosley, had worked
very hard in orienting the first-year students as to the procedure as well as the substance of
the Honor Code and that he felt very gratified at this expression of student interest in the
preservation of the Honor System. He stated that it was his intention to continue to maintain
a close relationship with the Honor Committee in the preservation of this cherished University
institution.
