TO ------.

Thy cheek beauty's blush still discloses,
Yet harder no heart sure can be!
But since Iron is found hid in Roses,
What wonder I meet it in thee?
On my cheeks the Roses have faded,
Sad proof that my love is sincere,
And no Iron my heart has pervaded,
But the barb which thy scorn has fix'd there!
