    bluffs along river. canescens is amazingly plentiful
    here (in stark contrast to the surrounding coastal
    plain country. There are bright colors but medium to
    the deepest pinks yet seen predominate. Bushes 1 to 4
    meters high. This slightly north across the river from the
    original status for Franklinia.
