Λικουργος εισην/εγκε ως χαλνας εικονας αναθειναι τ Ποιητων Αιχυλου, Σοφοκλεους, Ε'υριπιδου' και τας τραγωδιας αυτων εν[illeg.]νω, γραψμενους φυλαττειν, και τον τε πολεωσ γραμματεα παραναγιγνωσκειν' τοις γαρ υποκπινομενοις ουκ εξειναι αυτας υποκρινεθαι.
Licurgus ordained that statues of brasse should be erected to the memory of the Poets, Æsculus, Sophocles, and Euripides, and that their Tragedies should be carefully preserved, and often publikely read by the Notary of the City, when Stage-players were not admitted to act them.
