I
Philip has three loaves, but what are these?Jesus has the cornfields in His hand—
All the store of Egypt's granaries:
And the multitude at ease
Sitteth on the green grass in its flower.

Lo, His guests!—there is a table spread:Jesus has a fragment in His hand.
One by one He prays them to be fed
With this bit of broken Bread ...
And He sighs. It is the darkest hour.
