FROM THE SAME.

Io lo so, che il bel sembiante, &c.

Too well I know her beauty's power,
Too well its fruits I know;
We met—and from that fatal hour
My life has all been woe.
Too well I know—and ev'ry vale,
Each cave and desert grove,
From me have learnt the mournful tale,
And sigh the name I love.
