The late Dr. Lettsom used to sign his prescriptions, “I. Lettsom,” a circumstance which coupled with some peculiarities in his conversation, gave rise to the following Epigram:—
I physics, bleeds, and sweats 'em;
If after that they choose to die,
Whats that to me!—I Letts 'em.
