Epigramme de Monsieur des-Portes.
Some four years ago I made Phillis an offer,
Provided she would be my Wh---re,
Of two thousand good Crowns to put in her Coffer,
And I think should have given her more.

She was for a thousand my own,
But unless for an hundred she now would content me,
I sent her word I would have none.

Which I thought a great deal too dear,
