LORD! whose beneficence divine
Joys to exalt, what sin deprav'd!
Beneath thy guard, in duty's line
Preserve my spirit unenslav'd!

Be it the glory of my heart.
To live by thy protection free!
And to the wandering mind impart
The best of knowledge, knowing thee!
