Μεχρις τευ κατακεισθε; κοτ' αλκιμον εξετε θυμον,
Ω νεοι; ουδ' αιδεισθ' αμφιπερικτ/ονας,
Ω δε λιην μεθιεντε; εν ειρηνη διε δοκειτε
Ησθαι αταρ πολεμος γαιαν απασαν εχει.

How long shall riot waste the guilty night!
Nor Britain wake for her endanger'd right!
Arise ye brave! and meet your country's foe;
Insulting France now lifts the fatal blow:
Bellona fierce invades the British shore,
And discord bids the trump of war to roar.
