In Mortem Jo. Bapt. Moliere, Histrionis Celeberrimi Epigramma.

Translated.

Hard Fate! within this Urn Moliere's confin'd,
Whose Humour hit the Faults of all Mankind,
Such in his Page the living Picture shown,
That Folly grew asham'd her Sons to own;
But while he mimick'd Death's pretended Rage,
The angry Tyrant snatch'd him off the Stage,
Surpriz'd him in the Height of all his Art,
And forc'd the Player to compleat his Part!

He died Acting his Malade Imaginaire.
