To the right noble Lady Anne Lady Clifford.
I cannot giue unto your worthinesFaire hopefull Lady these my legacies
Bequeath'd to others, who must needs possesse
The part belonging to their dignitie.
Nor may I euer change their properties
I ow'd them to their worth, and they shall still
Retaine the same although I here desire
To make you suprauisor of my will
And do intreat your goodnesse to fulfill
My last desires lest vnto you in trust
I know you loue the Muses, and you will
Be a most faithfull Guardian and a iust.
And therefore I do so leaue all to you
That they may both haue theirs & you your due.
