Hwenne so wil wit ofer-stieð.Þenne is wil and wit for-lore.
Hwenne so wil his hete hieð.
Þer nis nowiht wit icore.
Ofte wil to seorȝe sieð.
Bute ȝif wit him wite to-fore.
Ac hwenne so wil to wene wrieð.
Þe o fo of wisdom is to-tore
