(27) Whoe are happie.
Antomedon the Greeke Poet doth tell,
and rightlie, yf the same be wayed well,
that firste he happie mann is sayed to bee,
which oweth nought, and is from borrowinge free;
Next, hee whome wedlocks fetters doth not strayne;
the third, whome childrens cares did never payne.
but if he bee soe madd to take a wife,
to ridd himself from his most quiet life,
yf shee be rich, and therwith soone to die,
hee happie is, to gaine her wealth therbye.
