TO THE WHEATFIELD
Give
us this day our daily bread
.
“Oh wheat,” the wind, in passing, said,
“'Tis you that answer everywhere
This call of Life's incessant prayer;
Bow, then, in reverence your head,
For 'tis the Master's gift you bear.”
