This portion of the meeting ended at 2:00 p.m., and the Board, after adopting the following motions, went into Executive Session:

That the Board of Visitors convene in Executive Session to consult with General Counsel regarding his privileged legal report to the Board on pending and anticipated litigation affecting the University, as provided for in Section 2.2-3711 (A)(7) of the Code of Virginia.

That the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia go into Executive Session to discuss and review, and to consult with the General Counsel, the acquisition and disposition of real estate, together with the proposed terms and testamentary intentions in connection therewith, where disclosure at this time would affect the University's negotiation strategy, as provided for in Section 2.2-3711 (A)(3), (6), (7) and (30) of the Code of Virginia.

That the Board of Visitors convene in Executive Session to consult with legal counsel and to discuss and evaluate specific gift terms and fund-raising activities, as provided for in Section 2.2-3711 (A) 4),(7), and (8) of the Code of Virginia.

That the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session to discuss and evaluate negotiation strategies and objectives as to whether the University should support and invest in a prospective educational business that is in early planning stages, as well as to consult with legal counsel, where disclosure at this time would adversely affect the University's interests, as provided for in Section 2.2-3711 (A)(5), (6), (7), and (30) of the Code of Virginia.

That the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session to discuss and evaluate with legal counsel existing and future negotiations with a private vendor concerning the provision of academic programs and services by the University, as provided for in Section 2.2-3711 (A) (5), (6), (7), and (30) of the Code of Virginia.

That the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia convene in Executive Session for the purpose of discussing and/or approving personnel actions involving the appointment, reappointment, nomination, evaluation, compensation, and resignation of specific University officers and employees as provided for in Section 2.2-3711 (A) (1) of the Code of Virginia.
