MARION DUPONT SCOTT CONFERENCE ROOM IN THE MARY AND DAVID
HARRISON
INSTITUTE FOR AMERICAN HISTORY, LITERATURE,
AND CULTURE, AND THE ALBERT AND SHIRLEY SMALL SPECIAL
COLLECTIONS LIBRARY

Marion duPont Scott, who owned “Montpelier” in Orange County, was a noted horsewoman. She bequeathed the University her important collection of books and periodicals on the history and practice of equestrian and related sports, she left an endowment to be used for adding to the collection, and she bequeathed a major gift toward the construction of the new Special Collections Library.
