APPROVAL TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE CONTRACT WITH ELEKTA INSTRUMENT CORPORATION
- The following resolution was adopted:
- WHEREAS, the University has reviewed the feasibility of purchasing and operating a sterotactic gamma unit ("Gamma Unit") to perform certain specialized medical procedures; and
- WHEREAS, the University has determined that the Gamma Unit may be purchased only from the Elekta Instrument Corporation; and
- WHEREAS, approval of the Board of Visitors is required before a University official may contract for the Gamma Unit;
- NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a contract between the University and the Elekta Instrument Corporation may be signed by the Vice President for Business and Finance for an amount not to exceed $2,250,000 after negotiation of reasonable terms and conditions, consistent with State procurement procedures, and approval by the University Legal Adviser.
