APPROVAL OF THE HISTORIC GROUNDS LANDSCAPE STUDY
- The following resolution was adopted:
- RESOLVED that the Historic Grounds Landscape Study developed by the consulting firm of EDAW, Incorporated, Alexandria, Virginia, is hereby approved in principle as a basic planning document which identifies major landscape issues and offers sound general recommendations for future development of the landform, vegetation, and other landscape features. However, recognizing the unique importance of the University's historic district, it is further resolved that, prior to implementation, any project involving significant alteration to the existing landscape features of the historic district shall be subject to the careful review and comment of the University's Arboretum and Landscape Committee and the Jeffersonian Restoration Advisory Board and, as appropriate, review approval by the Buildings and Grounds Committee of this Board.
