ACTIONS RELATING TO CHAIRHOLDERS

• The following resolution was adopted:
  RESOLVED that the actions relating to chairholders be and they are hereby approved as shown below:

• (a) Election of Chairholders

• Mr. Robert W. Billingsley as Industrial Relations Counselors Visiting Professor in Human Relations in the Graduate School of Business Administration, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1986.
• Mr. Paul R. Gross as Robert C. Taylor Professor of Biology, effective October 15, 1986, and Professor of Physiology, for the period October 15, 1986, through August 31, 1991.
• Mr. Robert E. Ireland as Commonwealth Professor of Chemistry, effective September 1, 1986.
• Mr. Harry G. Judge as Frank Talbott, Jr., Visiting Professor, School of Education, for the period January 16, 1987 through May 31, 1987.
• Mr. James D. McKinney as Frank Talbott, Jr., Visiting Professor, School of Education, for the period September 1, 1986 through January 15, 1987.
• Mr. Walter D. Pilkey as Frederick Tracy Morse Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, effective July 1, 1986.

• (b) Re-election of Chairholder

• Mr. Herbert Hausmaninger as John A. Ewald, Jr., Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law, for the period September 1, 1986 through October 31, 1986.

• Mr. James S. McCarthy, W. L. Lyons Brown Professor of Physics, for the period June 1, 1986 through August 31, 1986, without pay, to work with the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility.
• Mr. Jerome J. McGann, Commonwealth Professor of English, for the period January 16, 1987 through May 31, 1987, with partial pay, to accept a fellowship with the National Endowment for the Humanities.
• Mr. Thomas E. Thompson, Harry Flood Byrd, Jr., Professor of Biochemistry, for the period September 1, 1986, through August 31, 1987, with partial pay, to do research.

• Mr. Robert J. Mattauch, from Alice M. and Guy A. Wilson Professor of Electrical Engineering to Standard Oil Company (Ohio) Professor of Science and Technology, effective September 1, 1986
