REPORT OF THE HOSPITAL ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the Hospital Accounts Committee be and it is hereby authorized to write off as bad debts and free service accounts listed on University of Virginia Hospital schedule numbers 407 through 412 for the months of April through July, 1981, totaling $7,077,556.45, and Blue Ridge Hospital Division schedule numbers 459 through 468 for the months of April through July, 1981, totaling $781,471.03, consisting of the following:
          

University of Virginia Hospital:
Bad Debts		$1,623,808.38
Free Service		5,453,748.07
		---------------
	Total	$7,077,556.45
Blue Ridge Hospital Division:
Bad Debts		$1,260.19
Free Service		780,210.84
		----------------
	Total	$781,471.03

• RESOLVED FURTHER, that the above action shall not be a compromise, settlement or discharge of the debts represented by such accounts.
