RESIGNATIONS

The following resignations were announced:

  • Mr. William G. Batte, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a position at Old Dominion College.
  • Mr. Roger V. Bennett, Assistant Professor of Education, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a position at the University of Maryland.
  • Mr. James D. Bryden, Assistant Professor of Speech Pathology and Audiology, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a position at Bloomsburg State College, Pennsylvania.
  • Mr. Jackie O. Bunting, Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering, effective 30 June 1969, for personal reasons.
  • Mr. Alberto P. di Pierro, Assistant Professor of Economics, effective 30 June 1969, to remain in Italy.
  • Mr. Edwin E. Floyd, Chairman, Department of Mathematics, effective 31 August 1969, to devote full time to teaching and research.
  • Mr. John K. Haviland as Director, Division of Space Science, Virginia Associated Research Center, effective 30 June 1969, to devote full time to teaching and research.
  • Mr. Edward A. Kolodziej as Chairman, Department of Government and Foreign Affairs, effective 30 June 1969, to devote full time to teaching and research.
  • Mr. Roger Orkin, Associate Professor of Architecture, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a position at Syracuse University.
  • Mrs. Shelby F. Shires, Assistant Professor of Nursing, effective 31 August 1969, as she is moving from the area.
  • Mr. Richard W. Stream, Assistant Professor of Speech Pathology and Audiology, effective 30 June 1969, to accept a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Blindness.
  • Dr. J. Edwin Wood, III, Professor of Internal Medicine and Associate Dean, School of Medicine, effective 31 July 1969, to accept a position as Chief of Medicine, the Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, and Professor of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
