APPOINTMENTS

In accordance with the resolution adopted: by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia on 14 July 1945, the following appointments were announced:

  • Lieutenant Commander Angus Macaulay as Assistant Professor of Naval Science, for two years, effective August 1967.
  • Major McLendon G. Morris as Assistant Professor of Naval Science, for three years, effective July 1967.

The following appointments were also announced:

  • Mr. Robert F. Bryan as a Member of the Center for Advanced Studies, for three years, effective 1 October 1967.
  • Mr. Avery Catlin as Associate Dean, School of Engineering and Applied Science, for the period 15 April 1967 through 30 June 1972.
  • Mr. Ralph Cohen as a Member of the Center for Advanced Studies, for three years, effective 1 September 1967.
  • Mrs. Virginia H. Edwards as Chairman of the Diploma Program, School of Nursing, for one year, effective 1 August 1967.
  • Mr. Walter Greiner as a Member of the Center for Advanced Studies, for one year, effective 1 August 1967.
  • Mr. Charles E. Hamner, Jr., as Director of the Vivarium, School of Medicine, for three years, effective 1 July 1967.
  • Mr. David B. Harned as Chairman, Department of Religion, for five years, effective 1 September 1967.
  • Mr. Frederick Hartt as Chairman, Department of Art, for the period 1 September 1967 through 30 June 1972.
  • Mr. A. E. Dick Howard as Associate Dean, School of Law, for one year, effective 1 July 1967.
  • Mr. Cecil Y. Lang as a Member of the Center for Advanced Studies, for three years, effective 1 July 1967.
  • Dr. James Q. Miller as Assistant Dean, School of Medicine, for two years, effective 1 September 1967.
  • Dr. George R. Minor as Assistant Dean, School of Medicine, for one year, effective 1 July 1967.
  • Mr. Hartwig Schmidt as a Member of the Center for Advanced Studies, for two years, effective 1 September 1967.
