DONATIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA.

Under an Act of the Legislature, "any person may
deposit in the treasury of the State, or bequeath money,
stock, or public bonds of any kind, to be so deposited,
or grant, devise, or bequeath property, real or personal,
to be sold, and the proceeds to be so deposited . . for
the benefit of the University of Virginia. . . The
State of Virginia is hereby constituted the trustee for
the safe-keeping and due application of all funds which
may be deposited in the treasury in pursuance of this
Act."

LEGAL TITLE OF THE UNIVERSITY:

"The Rector and Visitors of the University of
Virginia."

FORM OF BEQUEST TO THE UNIVERSITY OF
VIRGINIA:

"I give and bequeath to the Rector and Board of Visitors
of the University of Virginia, for the uses of said
University, the sum of —— dollars, etc." Other
property may be bequeathed under the same form, and
specific directions given as to the uses of the gift.

The name of any former student or friend of the University
will be placed upon the permanent mailing list, if a
request to that effect is addressed to the Secretary of
the Faculty.

For Catalogues or Circulars, or more detailed information
than the printed documents supply, address the Chairman
of the Faculty.
