RIDDLE.
“A woman, though my head and tail are both of them the same;And still, both head and tail cut off, I bear a woman's name.
You may turn me topsy-turvy, but the change will naught avail—
A woman, whether taken by the head or by the tail;
But when you cut my head off, should my tail escape the shears,
Metamorphosed to a man then, the woman disappears!”
