Against Thelesinus.
When that no gage nor paune I bryng, and of thee coine doe craue:
I can not helpe thee straite thou saiest:
gage grounde and thou shalt haue.
So thou no credite giust at all,
vnto me Thelesine:
Thyne old companion, and thy frende,
but trustest grounde of myne.
Loe Carus hath thee guiltie founde,
and banisht must thou bee:
Wouldst haue me beare thee companie?
naie, call my grounde to thee.
