ACTIONS RELATING TO CHAIRHOLDERS
- The following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED that the actions relating to chairholders be and they are hereby approved as shown below: - Mr. Derrick A. Bell, Jr., as John A. Ewald, Jr., Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law, for the period November 2, 1985 through November 8, 1985.
- Dr. Robert M. Carey as James Carroll Flippin Professor of Medical Science and Professor of Medicine, for five years, effective April 1, 1986.
- Dr. Frederick G. Hayden, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, as Stuart S. Richardson Professor of Clinical Virology in the Department of Internal Medicine; and Associate Professor of Pathology, for the period January 1, 1986 through June 30, 1987.
- Mr. Paul R. Mendes-Flohr as Edgar M. Bronfman Professor of Modern Judaic Studies, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1986.
(b) Correction in the Election of Mr. Irving I.
Gottesman- Correct the election of Mr. Irving I. Gottesman as shown in the Minutes of the meeting of October 11, 1985, to read as follows:
- Mr. Irving I. Gottesman, Commonwealth Professor of Psychology, and Professor of Pediatrics, for three years, effective September 1, 1985.
(c) Re-election of Chairholder
- Mr. Antonin Scalia as John A. Ewald, Jr., Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law, for one semester, effective January 16, 1986.
(d) Leave of Absence of Chairholder
- Mr. Robert W. Haigh, Distinguished Professor of Business Administration, for the period September 1, 1985 through May 31, 1986, without pay, to continue disability leave.
