Actions Relating to Chairholders

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED that the actions relating to chairholders are hereby approved as shown below:
• (a) Election of Chairholder(s)
• Dr. Bruce G. Bateman as Chairholder of the Mamie A. Jessup Professorship in Obstetrics and Gynecology, effective July 1, 1995. Dr. Bateman will continue as Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, without term.
• Mr. Tim Bollerslev as Commonwealth Professor of Economics, effective January 16, 1996.
• Mr. Richard C. Collins as Lawrence Lewis, Jr. Professor of Architecture, effective September 1, 1995.
• Dr. Bruce D. Schirmer as Stephen H. Watts Professor of Surgery, effective July 1, 1995.
• Mr. Alexander Sedgwick as University Professor, effective October 1, 1995.

The following retirement was announced:

• Mr. Harry W. Porter, Jr., Lawrence Lewis, Jr. Professor of Architecture, effective June 30, 1995. Mr. Porter has been a member of the faculty since September 1, 1969.
