4. ACTEON NO CUCKOLD.

I ne'er can agree on
The tale of Acteon,
With a moral so much misapplied;
As by wits who suppose,
They may class him with those,
Who have err'd in the choice of a bride.

To be lost on so curious a wag;
So the goddess in wrath
Leap'd out of the bath,
And turn'd the rash youth to a stag,
