LV.
[Deep in the ocean's thundering wave]
Deep in the ocean's thundering wave
O that I sank into my grave!
Where my knell shall be
The groans of the sea
Tolling within some hollow cave.
O that I sank into my grave!
Where my knell shall be
The groans of the sea
Tolling within some hollow cave.
O that I lay in my narrow bed
With the ocean weeds to pillow my head,
Its foam for my shroud,
While its lullaby loud
Deepened the sleep of the happy dead!
With the ocean weeds to pillow my head,
Its foam for my shroud,
While its lullaby loud
Deepened the sleep of the happy dead!
