Morning Glories : | ||
MY MOCKING BIRD.
No gorgeous coat has he,He is plain as he can be:
Singing all the live-long day,
Imitating what I say,
Mocking ev'ry bird in bush,
Sparrow, wren, or hawk, or thrush,
Parrot, robin, finch or crow,
Owl, oriole, bird of snow,
With a cuteness quite astounding,
Bird and man alike confounding.
