SIZE OF COLLECTIONS

In the University libraries combined there was on July 1, 1933, a total
of 215,168 volumes. These were located as follows:

Department Libraries:

Engineering  4,578 volumes 
Graduate  1,509 volumes 
Law  27,150 volumes 
Medicine  12,533 volumes 
School Libraries and Other Collections  39,384 volumes

These figures do not include unbound material. The various libraries
receive a total of about 1,000 current periodicals; and the back files, somewhat
incomplete, number approximately 1,400 titles.
