SIZE OF COLLECTIONS

In the University libraries combined there was on July 1, 1929, a total
of 163,162 volumes. These were located as follows:

           
Collections at the Rotunda  90,389 volumes 
Law Library  23,553 volumes 
Medical Library  6,846 volumes 
Heck Memorial Library of Education  6,454 volumes 
School libraries and other collections  35,920 volumes 
163,162 volumes 

This total does not include unbound material. The Periodical Room in
the General Library, the Medical Library, the Heck Memorial Library of
Education, and the school libraries together receive 524 current periodicals;
and the Law Library receives 81 periodicals. In the Periodical Room there
are files of over 800 periodicals.
