APPROVAL OF THE
BOARD OF VISITORS

September 29-30, 2006

The Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia met, in Open Session, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2006, in the Board Room of the Rotunda; Thomas F. Farrell, II, Rector, presided. All Members were present (Mesdames Dorsey, Fauber, Key, and Mullen; and Messrs. Fralin, Abramson, Caputo, Diamonstein, Fitz-Hugh, Mastracco, Payne, Pippin, Rainey, Thompson, Vaughan, and Wynne).

Also present were John T. Casteen, III, Leonard W. Sandridge, Alexander G. Gilliam, Jr., Paul J. Forch, Arthur Garson, Jr., M.D., R. Ariel Gomez, M.D., R. Edward Howell, Ms. Patricia M. Lampkin, James L. Hilton, Ms. Yoke San L. Reynolds, Ms. Colette Sheehy, William B. Harvey, David J. Prior, Kenneth A. Schwartz, and Ms. Jeanne Flippo Bailes.

The Rector called the meeting to order and asked Ms. Key to lead the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
