XXIII.As deadly serpents lurking

As deadly serpents lurking,
So enuy lyeth working,
Still to disgrace those men
Which do striue by vertues fame
To augment their height of name,
By labour, art and pen.
But let all carping Momi,
and idle foolish Zoili,
what so ere they will report,
I put my selfe in venture
to iudgements learned censure
and men of better sort.
