RECITATIVE.

[Orpheus was music-master to the woods]

Orpheus was music-master to the woods,
Gave groves a gamut, put in tune the floods;
He made tall trees a minuet step advance in,
Taught hedges hornpipes, shrubberies country-dancing;
For every reptile he had songs and jiggs,
And symphonies compos'd for Guiney-pigs.
