REPORT ON THE WAGE-PRICE FREEZE

The President reported to the Board on the status of the Wage-Price Freeze. He pointed out that wages and salary increases previously frozen were authorized to go into effect November 16. The federal freeze regulations would have permitted the increases to be made effective November 15, 1971 and that he had requested that the November 16 date be reconsidered. As of this date, retroactive salary increases are not authorized, but there is a possibility that they might be.
