In fabled lore, I've heard 'tis stated,The Heart two sources has to drain:
And Joy and Sorrow, tis related,
Usurp, alternately, the reign!

Where are these blisses prov'd so dearly?Where is the heart such joys partaking?
I've liv'd to love—and that, sincerely—
But only find that mine is breaking!
