Lauerd sware, and noghte with-al,
And forthinke it noght him sal:
“Þou ert preste, ofe for to recke,
After ordre of Melchisedeke”.

Deme in birthes he sal to se,
Fulfille fallinges als sal he,
Sqwat sal he heuedes, blode and bane,
In þe land ofe maniane.

He dranke ofe wel in þe wai;
For-þi he heued his heued vp ai.
